A Monthly Playlist | January

If you're a regular reader around these parts (which I hope you are, but if you aren't HELLO, HI and WELCOME), then you may or may not know that music generally plays quite a large part in my day-to-day life. When I'm not attending gigs from the likes of the Blossoms, G-Eazy, Metallica or Deadmau5 - then I'm probably so engrossed in the latest from Sigrid, The Kooks or Circa Waves that I've been screaming the lyrics unbeknownst to myself for the last thirty five minutes - true story believe it or not.

So... whether you're in the mood for some R&B, indie or in this instance; electronic/dance, Spotify really is the holy grail of playlist curating platforms on the market and the one location where I can actively choose music based on my favourite genres for free without sifting through hours upon hours of YouTube videos, to see what is truly up and coming and I guess this is where we stumble upon the name 'A Monthly Playlist'.

To summarize; a monthly playlist will be a collection of songs based on the music I've been listening to and loving lately, whether it be in the gym or at home. I hope to post these on the last Friday of every month and they will vary in genre.

Here is;

A Monthly Playlist | January

What have you been listening to lately? Do you recognize any songs from your own playlist?

  1. I'll be honest, I have never heard any of these songs before. I will give them all a listen though as I love finding new music to listen to!

  2. That's such a cool idea for a blog post! I've constantly got music on, but I tend to just let my tunes roll through rather than having specific things. So saying, I've seen a couple of musicals lately and am hooked on their soundtracks, despite not usually being a musical person. Looking forward to seeing what tunes make it into your lists!

    1. Thank you so much Lindsey! I'm the same; although I love love love finding new music. You should create one for your musicals/soundtracks, then you can always go back to it. I hope you like them x
