A Skincare Saviour | Lush Dream Cream

'Softer than freshly-laundered clouds and a gentle oat milk rain; this herbal delicacy has the consistency of cool liquid silk.'
Renowned as one of Lush's best selling products; the hand and body cream otherwise known as 'Dream Cream' has been a skincare saviour of mine for well over a year now. The 240g pot has seen me battle through the worst bout of eczema I have ever had; helping me clear up dry and patchy skin on my hands, as well as cracked skin on my feet - that's the pesky weather for you.

No pun intended, but this cream literally works a dream. I had heard reviews and stories about this particular pot across groups on Facebook and on Twitter, but never in a million years thought it would help me. Much like the reviewer below; I also used steroid cream provided by my doctor.

'I have been searching for a cream for months for my 6 month old babies eczema and dry skin and saw this recommended on a forum/discussion board. We were at our wits end and didn't know where to turn after all the doctors creams had failed. We no longer wanted to use steroid creams so started to look at natural products. Many didn't make it worse but nor did they make it better and he was left with very flaky skin all over his body and red patches that would flare from time to time. I was skeptical about dream cream but had read the other reviews; they are well deserved. Within 24 hours his skin was much more improved after morning and night applications. 3 days later you couldn't tell he had eczema and all his dry flaky skin had gone. 5 days later his skin is silky smooth, baby soft for the first time and almost impossible to see where his eczema was. We are extremely grateful to Lush for this product and will be recommending this to other mothers in the same situation.'

The product certainly lives up to all of its hype and its a cream that I can see myself continuing to buy for years to come. It has a light, cooling and easily absorbent consistency with a combination of calming chamomile, organic, extra virgin olive oil and creamy, Fair Trade, organic cocoa butter that quickly soothes and softens the skin. Just sweep the product all over the body to be-dew your skin with fields of soothing lavender and Turkish rose which will lull you back to tranquility.

You really will feel serene and petal soft from top to toe after applying. Best part about all of it; you can now buy it in a self-preserving form, which means it keeps itself clean without any help from synthetic preservatives. The new version definitely feels a bit more creamy on application, but the benefits will always remain the same.

Have you tried Lush's Dream Cream? What are your thoughts?

    1. It's definitely a product not to be missed, especially if you struggle with dry skin/eczema. I hope you like it as much as I do! x

  5. I was so down to give this a try after reading your glowing review and then I saw that it has Lavendar in it and I HATE the smell of lavender. Is it a strong smell or is it mild/barely noticeable?

    1. That's such a shame! I would say it's quite potent, if you aren't a fan of lavender I wouldn't recommend it x
